I've always only had scribbles and sketches of what Koro looks like, but now I finally drew an actually decent picture of him.
Note: The clothing he is wearing isn't his typical outfit--normally he wears plain robes and fabricky-type (is fabricky a word?) clothes, but in this picture he's wearing his formal outfit for when he addresses his troops, his followers, when he meets with dignitaries of other countries, etc.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the character, Koro is the "boss" of my character Seth, and the leader of a decent-sized rebel faction on this one planet, yada yada, anyway--all you need to know is that he kicks ass.
People who don't know him often mistake him for a weak old man. He's actually not too old, (by Esehtrian standards,) but his disheveled appearance and the fact that he is blind doesn't really help. Also, his staff is pretty damned plain compared to some staffs out there, so often people underestimate him--which is a BIG mistake--and he uses this to his advantage. Plus it helps that he actually CAN see a bit--he can sense certain heat wavelengths and shit. But, ah me! I'm giving it all away!
Anywho. I didn't feel like coloring it just yet, so it'll probably be moved to scraps when I actually do color it, but I needed to post it.
And I swear, if dA insists that this belongs in the anthro category, I will punch them in the freaking face. >.<
You did a great job on him, I think. He certainly looks old and disheveled, but that smirk should alert you that you're only being fooled. I bet he's a spy bugger.
Great details! I love the designs and you did a great job on the folds in his clothes! Nice talons, too.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
