This piece was stolen from the Humanities building of UW-Madison (in Madison, WI) in the 6th floor hallway by one of the foundations classes around May 4th. If anyone has seen it, please send me a note, as I am upset by its loss.
Thanks,

Assignment for my Drawing II class. We had a unit where we were drawing from music. After creating a "literal" interpretation of Mr. Bungle's "Air-Conditioned Nightmare" (I drew a pictorial representation of every instrument in the song, in a drawing that spanned the length of my entire art classroom), I decided my next musical drawing would be a more figurative and representational drawing. Plus I was getting sick of abstract stuff.
So this drawing is inspired from Daft Punk's "Robot Rock (Daft Punk Maximum Overdrive Mix)" I chose this song to draw this by because I keep hearing it whenever I am rushing to class, and so it had a memory of this stressor. Overall this semester has been pretty...rough. Well, being in the SoE has been rough. So this picture is a response to that.
Anyway, such is life. Soon I will get my certificate and move on to other things.
It's about 18" X 24" (I think?)
Done in pen and ink.
(My apologies: I had a hell of a time scanning and piecing this together. So there are some weird anomalies in the pic. Oh well.)
Poor bird! Amazing detail, and have I ever told you I like the way you shade and add color to these types of pieces? The detail in the eye amazes me and it's my favorite part since I have a slight obsession with eyes. So chaotic, the legs I also love.
