And here we have the resplendant Beast of Contemplation.
Why is he resplendant? Because I enjoy saying the word.
Resplendant. Isn't that lovely? Yes, yes it is.
So basically I was super pissed at myself for screwing up yet ANOTHER drawing....which whenever I decide to take another stab at it I'll be on attempt number three for that picture...ahem..anyways.
So I've learned that whenever I am sucking at drawing I should just draw something for the hell of it, whatever comes out of my pen--let it come, I won't protest. And usually I do a sketchy black and white ink drawing. No pencils, no fuss, no worrying about screwing things up. And boy does it work wonders!
Now, obviously, there are tons wrong with the anatomy here. And I don't give a shit, really, so you can laugh at the mistakes to yourself. The fact is, I DREW, dammit.
It's totally different than what I originally thought this guy would look like, since I wanted to come up with something original--not the typical clawed lion body structure thing we have here. But I started with the head, and I gave it too big an eye for what I was doing, cause I started with a dumb line in the middle of the picture and decided it should be an eye. And then we got this weird combustion pipe skull thing of a head. And I like it Reminds me of a mosquito.
Why is it off center, you ask? because I just drew the damn thing. I could have photo-edited it into the center, but that would have defeated the purpose.
Why is it the Beast of Contemplation? Well, it needed a name, that's why. Or a title, actually. So I annointed this critter the "Beast of Contemplation" because that's exactly what I've been doing lately--contemplating! Contemplating what, you ask? Use your imagination, that's what I did here. Har har. cheese-takular.
Those funky letters were such a bitch to do. And I really need to get a latin-english dictionary so I can give this mofo a binomial nomenclature. *shakes fist*
Oh and I used my brand new felt-tip pens that my friend Erin gave me for christmas. Yippee!

You could call it Acurem tangere. It's a latin phrase that fully means "to hit the nail on the head". But there's a little space between Acu and Rem in the origanal.
Acu is needle, though I was originaly going for needle head. This just works so much better. And dude, 'acu pingere' means to embroider.
